Since I don't plan to keep this car for more than a few years, yet wanted a dependable battery, I did not go with the top of the line. This one has seemed just fine in the several weeks since it was installed.

Your employees at this location were fantastic. I first went in and they checked my battery and said it needed charging but did not pressure me to purchase a new one. I decided to think about it. After going home and researching online I found a 40.00 coupon so I ordered and went back and y'all installed it for me. Very impressed with the employees work ethic you should be very proud of them.

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Hi, this battery comes with 2 year free replacement warranty. Free Replacement Period begins the day of purchase and expires at the end of the Free Replacement Period printed on your original sales receipt. This period does not renew when the battery is replaced during the Free Replacement Period. If the battery becomes defective after the Free Replacement Period and prior to the end of the warranty period, the warranty benefit will be prorated and can either be credited toward the purchase of a new battery or refunded at our option. The proration amount shall be determined by dividing the purchase price by the number of months of the warranty period, then multiplying the result by the months remaining in the warranty period. Partial months are rounded to the nearest whole month. Installation of an automotive battery in any other type of vehicle or equipment voids your warranty. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you.

I would like to know who makes these batteries, and where are they made?
Asked on 1/14/2014 by Ric from West Bloomfield, MI

        • A:

These, and nearly every automobile battery is made by Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls has nearly cornered the automobile battery market, and this is why battery prices have more than doubled in recent years. Worse than that Johnson Control deliberately designs their batteries to fail (usually just after the warenty expires). Sad thing is where ever you buy your battery you are getting a very poor quality, designed to fail, Johnson Controls battery. So you might as well to WalMart to get your battery, very poor quality, but not nearly as outrageously overpriced as Advance Auto Parts
          .

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

The AutoCraft battery brand name is owned by Advance Auto Parts (AAP), but AAP does not manufacture batteries. The battery plants exist but are independent battery manufacturers, including GNB (formally Gould National Battery), and Johnson Controls Inc. But other more localized and smaller manufacturers also contribute to the demand. Advance Auto Parts does sell Made in the USA products as well as products manufactured from many other countries in order to keep our pricing competitive. Please also keep in mind that many suppliers have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.

          A:

Cold Cranking Amps is a rating used in the battery industry to define a battery's ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. The rating is the number of amps a new, fully charged battery can deliver at 0° Fahrenheit for 30 seconds, while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts, for a 12volt battery. The higher the CCA rating, the greater the starting power of the battery.

I think your measurement is wrong. It says 10 15/16 inches long, isnt it 9 15/16 because your measurement WILL NOT fit. The higher grade battery you have listed says 9 15/16

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

I have a 2002 Venture.. If yours is like mine, on the passenger side of the vehicle is a support bracket that runs from the corner of the windshield to right above the radiator.. attached to the support arm is a fuse box.. Unbolt the support arm from both ends and remove the support arm completely.. push the fuse box up and out of the way and your battery should be underneath.. Remove battery bracket clamp and and cables from the terminals and it should come right out. Installation is the reverse.
