Bought this to replace OEM battery on '01 Hyundai Elantra (yes, that original battery actually lasted this long, driven just over 60,000 miles!--much better than the original Michelin tires they placed on it, which were horrible and quickly went). The 700 stated CCA on this battery is even higher than their Gold Battery--which I'd initially decided to spring the extra money for due to the extra warranty, until asking them about this and finding they recommended this less expensive battery due to the higher CCA. I appreciated that honesty even though it meant a lesser sale for them. Although I normally have all work done at my dealer, they wanted [$] total to have a new battery installed--and that battery only had a 1-year full replacement warranty and 4-year prorated replacement warranty compared to the 2- and 6-year warranties on this battery (3- and 7-year on the Gold). I just came back from AAP now, but it started right up after replacement, and did the same after several test shut-offs and restarts. So so far so good! I feel I got an excellent deal and an excellent price!

First I have to say my overall experience at advance was very positive. I ordered the oem battery for my Santa Fe online, group size 124r. When Booker tried to install the battery, it was too short and the positive terminal would not attach. He took it inside and matched it to a group size 24f. Everything worked perfectly . He credited my online transaction and gave me a price match for the more expensive group 24f battery. This is a maintenance free battery even though it has caps on it for venting. Every place I checked online has the group size 124r as the replacement for my 2007 Santa Fe so advance was not at fault, but they did make things right. Hope this will save someone else some time when they get their replacement battery for the Santa Fe. I do recommend using Advanced Auto Parts because of the great service I got.

I got this battery at a great price. I used my Speedperks reward points, and combined it with a discount when ordering online and picking-up in the store. The online order/pick-up gig is a great money saver, AND being a Speedperks member saves a lot of bucks, also. I can't comment on the battery, though. I just installed it, so I don't know how it will hold up, but I can recommend Advance Auto.

I needed a battery for a friends car asap. It was 8:00 pm and the store was closing soon. I was able to go online and order this battery with no trouble. My order was not actually ready yet as i did not leave any time for them to have it prepped. I drove over to the store in a hurry and was pleasantly greeted. They knew the battery was for me as i walked through the door stating i had an online order. The wonderful girl (Cute too) got me my battery in a hurry which was very nice since it was starting to get dark. I completed the transaction and got the battery back to the vehicle to install. Started right up, checked charge voltage..perfect. Job done. Thanks!

Normally I would buy it and put in my self, I am glad I let him he explained that if I would of pulled the battery out with out hooking up the black box the car would not have started. He was a big help thanks.

          • Q:

So I was recently inside a store and they had this battery listed for $95 with a 1 year warranty. I was told by the person behind the counter that I could buy the battery online and save 30%. Now that I am online I can for some reason only buy the battery with the two year warranty, which makes the price total come out to be $137, the 30% off online is actually more expensive because I see no options for getting the one year warranty while ordering online. I only want the 1 year warranty as I just do not have the money to pay an extra $42 for a second year. Is there a way to get the 1 year warranty on the battery online instead of the 2 year warranty?

Hi David, good question! With maintenance-free batteries, you do not need to add water. This kind of battery also reduces corrosion in the battery terminal posts. In case of low water, you only need to add water to any cells that are low on water.

Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right spot, but I'll try. I have a 2002 Elantra with an AutoCraft Silver battery that has a date of Oct, 2007 on it. So far, it seems to be running well, and holding a charge ok, but what is the expected lifespan of the Silver batteries from that timeframe? Thanks!

              A:

Hi Matt, good question! There is no predetermined life of a battery. So many variables come into play that it really depends on the situation at hand. Typically a battery will last up to 5 to 7 years if maintained properly. The lifespan is dependent on the maintenance of the car and the battery, the age of the car and the age of the battery.
