What is the better recharge for this battery, 10amp or 2amp?
Asked on 10/3/2016 by Mike from United States

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Hi Mike, happy to help you! An average car battery has a capacity of around 48 amp hour which means that, fully charged, it delivers 1 amp for 48 hours, 2 amps for 24 hours, 8 amps for 6 hours and so on. A basic charger usually charges at around 2 amps and so needs 24 hours to deliver the 48 amps needed to fully charge a flat, 48 amp hour battery. The higher the charge output, the faster a flat battery is recharged. Fast charging is not usually recommended, as it can damage the battery plates.

Can you refill it with distilled water?
          Asked on 7/3/2015 by Death

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Yes, you can refill this lead acid battery with distilled water. If the electrolyte levels in the cells are low (plates are exposed), fill each cell to just cover the plates. Then use a battery charger to recharge the battery, or just drive the car for a few days in normal service. Please make sure that you fill the distilled water to the maximum safe level.

            A:

This part Autocraft 12-Volt Power Sports Battery - 1 Piece, Part No. 7L-BS manufactured by Autocraft is a Sealed Maintenance Free Battery. It comes dry with an enclosed acid bottle to activate the battery with. After filling install the sealing strip and your worries about keeping your battery full of water are over. The sealing cap should be placed on the battery after the acid is added before charging the first time. NOTE: After activation do not remove the sealing strip and attempt to add water.

Your warranty begins the day you purchase the battery, and expires at the end of the warranty period printed on your original receipt and Order Confirmation email, or when you sell your vehicle, whichever occurs first. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time.
