The product is good for what it is intended for, I know a lot of o2 sensors are hard to remove. Most of them are supposed to be heated to help make it easy to remove them, weather or not you run the engine for a few minutes to heat exhuast or use a small torch (propane or what ever) right at the threaded bung just to loosen it. Maybe around 120degrees F. this will help you for sure just dont get too close to hot parts. wear long sleeve protection for safety....
Also you might try putting a hose clamp around it if you have room to hold it closed if your one that has a problem with it wanting to flex open because of the slot.

Dont waste your time

Inside of socket has a lip and prevents it from sliding over the sensor.

Comments about AutoCraft Oxygen/Vacuum Sensor Socket:

The socket will split if you try to use it with old sensors. Use a 7/8 6pt deep well and cut the wires to remove the old one. DO NOT try to use this. It works fine for installation.

i have had much difficulty using this O2 sensor socket. the slit in the side makes the socket separate too much and will not solidly grip a frozen O2 sensor. it really needs a solid band at the bottom end to keep it from spreading open when you put force on it then the slot start farther up for the wires to protrude. I am looking for a different socket to purchase.

As i placed the tool around my o2 sensor i noticed it was a bit loose on the back side opposite of the opening. But did make contact on the sides so i tried to use it. As soon as i tried to remove the sensor it immediately rounded it. Do not buy. I will no longer be shopping here because iv had nothing but problems.

            Slip and Strip

Comments about AutoCraft Oxygen/Vacuum Sensor Socket:

I tried this socket and it promptly slipped and stripped the sensor. This socket fit the sensor pretty well. I think the over-sized slot allows the socket to flex and strip.

Comments about AutoCraft Oxygen/Vacuum Sensor Socket:

I bought this tool despite the bad reviews. Big mistake! What other posters have stated is true. The slot is way too wide allowing the wrench to flex and slide around the sensor. When I returned it, the counter guy even pointed out the slot seemed to be cut in the wrong spot, allowing for a bad grip on the sensor. We looked at several more and there was only one of three that seemed to be cut in the right spot. I opted for the offset tool instead, which has a much narrower slot. Once I had the right tool it took five minutes to replace the sensor. Do yourself a favor and get the offset tool instead.

dont buy this piece of trash because the wire slot is too wide which sacrifices hex contact area and does nothing but flex under load rounding off your sensor

Comments about AutoCraft Oxygen/Vacuum Sensor Socket:

This socket is of low quality, but gets the job done. I think it would hold up as long as you don't put a lot of torque on it. Some O2 sensors may need a lot of torque. For the money and convenience of obtaining one, it was worth it to me.
