Have had 2 in a mixed bank with West Marine batteries. These held up, the WM are dead. Even though the two are still good (going strong), they are 4 years old (longer than warranty), so just bought 8 batteries to build new bank twice the size of the original. Just stay on top with maintenance, and they're good. No complaints!

Seems ok so far

Battery only showed 50% charge on my charger shortly after pickup, that worried me a bit, but I charged it completely, and it seems to work just fine.

1 year warranty, so if it does not hold up, I will return it.

Comments about Autocraft Marine / RV 12-Volt Deep Cycle Battery, Group Size 27, 600 CCA:

In 2011 I purchased two of these batteries for use in parallel as power for my home's back-up sump pump, as recommended by my pump's specs. Three years later I finally discovered that my back-up pump's inverter had stopped functioning because one of these two batteries was completely empty of electrolyte while the other one had stopped holding a charge. Yes, it's possible that the empty battery may've been mistakenly sold to me that way and that the two being connected in parallel as they were may've degraded the one full battery over time, I'll never know for sure. But in May 2014 I nevertheless decided to go ahead and replace both batteries with identical units (making SURE they were both serviced this time), completed the installation, and they appear to be functioning great at this point. So we'll see. I check them daily. Can't beat the price though.

Comments about Autocraft Marine / RV 12-Volt Deep Cycle Battery, Group Size 27, 600 CCA:

The battery is not an optima battery, but it also does not have the price of an optima battery either. It is a great battery for the price. It is dependable and the 27 series can get pretty heavy. Other than the weight, which is expected for the 27 series, it is a great all around battery. I use this battery on my boat to run the outboard motor and all the electronics. It lasts all day and then some. I would recommend this battery to anyone looking to replace an old nonchargeable battery.

Hi POWER, for charging the Autocraft Marine / RV 12-Volt Deep Cycle Battery, Group Size 27, 600 CCA - part# 27DC-2, set the charger on 10A for the first few hours of recharging. There is little to be gained in charging very slowly at first, but go to 2A say after 4 hours. That will take several more hours to bring the battery to it's peak storage level. The charger will cut completely off, once the battery is charged.

              • Q:

Is there somewhere to look up real specifications on this battery? The answers here are highly conflicting. Ex, one answer says its permanently sealed while the next question says the caps are removeable. Another answer says its 160Ah, while the last answer says it 85-90Ah. Why is it so hard to find out the Ah rating on DC batteries? That is the primary specification for deep cycle use. This looks like a good deal, but lack of true and accurate specifications is rather annoying.
