I've used this battery for a Murray Rear Engine Rider with a 10HP Tecumseh and a Murray Mid-Engine rider with a 13.5HP OHV Tecumseh.

These batteries have plenty of power for mowers with these vertical shaft engines and no lights. My only minor gripe is that the carriage bolt holes that were in the first one aren't there for the second one I bought for the newer mower.

Bought 4 months ago. Kept going dead all winter in the garage. Garage temp is well above freezing, but I thought the colder temp was causing it to go dead. It was not. Now the weather is warm and it still won't hold a charge, but it's 4 months old and the warrantee has run out. It's only a 3 month replacement warrentee and they don't prorate it after that, so I got stuck.

The battery in my riding mower finally went to that great battery place in the sky. Saw this battery online and the price was right. Installed it and mower fired right up. Cranks over faster with this battery than it ever did with the original one. I have Autocraft battery in my pick up and it has never let me down so I thought I'd get one for the mower. At this price I figure if it only lasts a year or two I'll just get another. But I have a feeling it will last much longer. If you need a battery for your mower but don't want to spend a bunch of money get one of these. You'll be glad you did.

I'm happy to help, Legendrd! Even though the radio is a fairly low amp draw device with a slow charge at 60mA you'll most likely still be able to drain the battery fairly quickly. Although it may seem overkill, a deep cycle battery may be a better option as it is designed to drain and then recharge, whereas this lawn & garden battery is designed to start your engine and then recharge at a much higher amperage.

Hi Ed, I'm happy to help! I assume you are referring to the charging amps for this battery. You can charge at 2 amp rate which is an ideal charging rate for a small engine battery.
