Bought this after I had a radiator hose spring a leak. Spent an hour trying to remove clamps with a pair of regular pliers but just couldn't get my hands in that right spot. Found this online and man did I waste an hour. After 5 minutes I was putting coolant back in her. Should have bought this a long time ago.

tool was quick and easy to attatch to standard hose claps, and made it a cinch to quickly remove, the problem I had was it would not release tension when trying to replace the clamp, it required me to use some pliars to wiggle the clamp loose to release. perhaps this is a tool by tool basis as it is a cheapo tool, or maybe some light oiling will help before use.

Comments about AutoCraft Hose clamp pliers:

Although it got the job done, i wish it would squeeze clamp tighter. I adjusted it all the way. I had to use a screwdriver to pry it over the nipple. But it got the job done. I could not get any pliers or any other tool in that area..

Comments about AutoCraft Hose clamp pliers:

My choice was to use these types of pliers or remove stuff to get standard pliers on the clamp. Huge time saver for me.These pliers work as expected. Easily fished them down and got on the clamp, opened the clamp and stayed on it as I worked it up the hose. Money well spent.

In fifteen minutes with this tool I removed both heater core hose clamps on my '96 Buick Park Avenue. Impossible with regular hand tools.

I have been an ASE certified mechanic for 5 years now. Held up for 6 months no problem. Sure it isn't sn@pon but it does fine. Wish it was made in USA though.
