I bought this battery, by shopping online.
I started by using Google, I found out what kind of battery fit in my truck and searched about 10 different online stores. What I found was there a price differents of about $40.00. So I picked Advance Auto Parts to buy my battery, they had a online coupons which gave me a 20% off. You just can't beat 20% off. I used the pick up locally and drive to our near by Advance Auto Parts store.
When I got there sales person greeted us and asked how they could help, told them we bought a battery online, show them the paper work. They pick up the battery and asked if they could install it for us. I thank them and left to install the battery at home.

A sale price caught my attention, as I was preparing to do some preventive maintance. This was a replacement battery for the original that was 6 years old. Ordered it over the internet and picked same up at the store. Had previously called before ordering to inquire if ordering by the internet also included the free installation. Response was that it did. However, when picking up the battery, I was informed that the installation did not apply to internet orders. I wasn't going to argue, as it was no big deal to install the battery. However when I got home, I found that the counter person gave me a reverse terminal battery. I tried to install it hoping there would be enough slack in the cables to do so, but there wasn't. Took this battery back to the store along with my old battery for the core charge and it was exchanged for the proper battery, with the clerk indicating that it was their error as they provided the wrong battery. Installed same very quickly, and performed as expected. Much to early to judge how well the battery will hold up and perform under age and weather conditions.
Seems to be a good purchase as of this time, two weeks after install.

Comments about AutoCraft Gold Battery, Group Size 24, 700 CCA:

I haven't treated this battery very well. Never checked it, never cleaned the terminals. I suck at battery maintenance. I wasn't happy when it died, but when I looked at the purchase date of Dec. 2011 it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside as it is now April, 2016.

As I did originally back in 2011, I compared prices and warranties, and this same Autocraft Gold is still the winner. So I will pull it out in the morning and drive it down (in my wife's car) to replace it. Too bad I can't use the free installation service, but it be too daid to crank.

I bought this same model battery on 10/2011 (which was the sticker date on it). It lasted me until today 2/2016. So it far exceeded the 3 year warranty. I went out today and bought the exact same one and Advance installed it for me. I hope this new one lasts as long as the first one. Do not hesitate to buy. For 3 of the years I had it I lived in Wisconsin with below zero temperatures and the other two years I lived in Florida.

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry CE with a battery tray that is 10 3/4 wide. It says this battery is an exact fit but the width is listed as 10 15/16. Am I correct in assuming that the battery width listed on the specs is at the top where it is a bit larger? Just trying to make sure this will fit.

                A:

Happy to answer your question Winter! We suggest just testing the battery before anything. If the battery tests low your local store can do a "Trickle" or slow charge on it. Our batteries typically have a shelf life of about 2 years before they start losing some charge but the warranty starts from the date of purchase. If your battery is Gold then it will have a 3 year warranty.

Hi Belfrybatt, I'm glad to assist you! The 24F battery is the Supra's OEM battery group size. It has the same dimensions as a standard 24 Group size but with reverse poles. A standard 24 has the positive on the right and negative on the left (viewed from the front with terminals on back). The 24F is reversed. The 24F Group Size is an old Ford designation (hence 24F) dating back to the mid 1960's. It was used in the 1990's by Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura. Not very popular any more.
