I bought the gold 700cca battery online and saved alot of money. Local pickup at my store of choice where product is stocked! Easy online ordering, and instructions on how to pick up makes it a no brainer. I would have had them install the battery in my 1969 AMX but the car was not road legal yet. The people at the Cicero store where I mostly frequent are very helpful on all subjects. Rob shows he cares about his customers and is always polite and helpful. Dan at the Central Square store was equally helpful and told me my battery was ready to be picked up.

I bought this battery in January 2012 for a car that I keep in Florida. When I am not in Fl, I keep the battery on a trickle charger that I also bought at AAP. In March 2014, I noticed that the dome light would flicker (a sign of a failing battery) and later the battery failed to start my car. After an overnight trickle charge, it failed again.

Because the battery carries a 3 year warranty, I figured that I could simply go back to the store and exchange it. If only that were the case, I'd be a happy camper...

A trip to AAP, where they tested my battery (it failed), resulted in AAP replacing it with a USED battery. After several exchanges with AAP customer service I learned that the store manager sets the actual warranty policy, and that this store manager's policy is to provide a loaner battery, while they try to revive the battery for 24hrs.

The next day, the manager called to let me know that he would replace my battery as it had failed his test again. He did replace my battery, but the battery he provided was 2 months old (Jan 2014). This simple exchange took two days to resolve, when it should have been resolved immediately.

Can't give this a 5 star rating because of not being maintenance free and not being owned long enough to comment on its durability. Does have a good warranty though.

Great Heavy Duty Battery. The right size for my car!I had purchased a used 1999 Acura RL. It was "dragging" upon start-up. Checked the battery and it was the size of a "go-cart" battery. I replaced it with this battery and it now starts like a new car.

Good battery just note that Advanced offers free installation of batteries but they do not do cars such as Lexus, BMW, Benz newer than 2004. Since batteries are pretty easy to swap this was not much of an issue.

The battery was an excellent buy considering that I had a discount code that saved me forty bucks by ordering it on line. The process of ordering it on line was very easy and I picked up my battery after work at my local store. Installation was performed by the store so that was easy but he needed some help and I was happy to help by holding the bolt down rod in place while he moved the battery in place. The only problem was that when he finished my car would barely turn over and when he checked the battery charge it was low. He gladly took out the old battery and replaced it with a new one that was charged up. Time will tell how this battery holds up.

                        A:

The battery can not damage the regulator. If the battery was bad, then it could have been pulling an abnormal amount of current off the alternator, but there is no reason why that would damage the regulator. The point of the regulator is just to control the output of the alternator based on the electrical load of the system. If the CCA of the new battery is higher and it fits in the battery box fine and is bolted down properly, then you will have no issues. If the CCA is lower on the new battery, then there will be the chance that it wont have the power to start when it is cold out, or requires a longer cranking time. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis. For further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.

I have a battery charger that has a "battery conditioning" feature but can only be done on a "vented-wet" battery. Instructions also state that I must fill up the battery with distilled water.

Is the Titanium 24-6 a "vented-wet" battery? Can I open the two lids to fill with distilled water?

As info, the battery has been completely discharged twice, which means I just reduced the life of the battery... I'm hoping to "recondition" the battery so it can last a little longer.

                      Thank you.

If any of the cells ran dry or very low and the battery was severly discharged the cells most likely have sulfated and this will damaged the plates inside the battery by corroding them together reducing the capacity of that perticular cell, it may charge full and read 12 plus volts but its charge longevity is severly compromised.I tore apart and reconditioned batteries for the airlines.

If the battery has caps, remove them and look inside.
If you can see liquid, you have a vented wet battery.
(This liquid is battery acid: wear goggles and do not touch it!)

If you can see the battery's metal plates poking up above the water line, the battery has lost too much water. You can try carefully adding distilled water to each cell to cover, but the battery may have been permanently damaged.

                        A:

Your warranty begins the day you purchase the battery, and expires at the end of the warranty period printed on your original receipt and Order Confirmation email, or when you sell your vehicle, whichever occurs first. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time.

I have an AutoCraft Titanium from June, 2007. The battery starts my car OK, but according to Honda, the battery CCA test failed, and Honda recommended replacing the battery. Does that qualify the battery for a prorated warranty claim, or do I have to use the battery until it strands me somewhere in order to make the claim? Thanks

I recommend taking the battery to one of our stores to have it tested. If it fails the test, your warranty should be looked up and a new battery provided depending on the warranty you have on your current one.
