Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

I needed to remove the radiator hoses that connect to my intercooler pump since I was replacing it. However, my standard channel lock pliers were both insufficient and were scraping up the hose clamps. I was hoping Advance had a hose clamp pliers as a loaner tool, but since they did not, I just bought this one. Despite the spring breaking right after I began using them, it thankfully was not necessary to remove the three clamps I bought the pliers for. For this reason, I decided to keep the pliers rather than return them.

Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

We had a lower hose on a 2000 Ford Taurus that we just could not get back on. The space was so tight I could not hold the clamp open and push on the hose. I spent about an hour on it and gave up and bought this tool. After getting the tool the job took 5 minutes! Literally!

Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

Didn't take any chances and bought these along with the angled style and they were vey useful for a heater hose repair. The locking feature of both of these pliers (flat band, angled) was a big aggravation eraser and couldn't of done it without them.

Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

Allowed me to remove both clamps and put them on new hose. After putting hose in place and seating first clamp, it flew apart. I was able to use it to get the 2nd seated but without the locking feature. Would probably be fine as long as you don't have any tight spots to maneuver. So, basically, if you have a newer auto... don't even bother with this tool.

Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

These pliers are made to hold the spring type hose clamps for easy removal and installation. They are perfect for that use. There is a spring loaded catch thart allows them to lock closed. The ends hook into the spring tips so the spring doesn't go flying as it would with regular pliers. My only negetive comment is that the pliers don't have a spring to open them. It would make it easier for one handed operation when reaching to get to a hose as most hoses are in locations where you can't fit both hands

Excellent Tool. Remember to place large in of clamp in slot and small end in whole. I used it to remove hose for heater core replacement. Worked perfectly

Comments about Autocraft Flat Band Hose Clamp Pliers:

I used product to replace to remove hoses from a heater core. The thing that I liked most was how it has a vice-grip type of mechanism to keep clamp open for manuvering. Little slippery when it gets wet. Keek in mind, put large end of clamp in slot and small end in hole.
