Comments about AutoCraft 4-piece 12-Point Metric Bit Set:

Need to use a 1/2" deep well socket and tape it together if you're using this to remove your axles on a VW (reason I got them). They worked fine, didn't chew up the edges or anything. Don't use this with an impact, they probably won't survive. Also, it doesn't mention they are for use with impact.

Comments about AutoCraft 4-piece 12-Point Metric Bit Set:

Note: You will need to use either a 1/2" socket or wrench in order to use. I used a piece of tape to hold bit in socket so not to lose it during use. Hardest thing for me was trying to find out what it was called to buy it.("Triple Square" for metric; for ref.: Allen must be for SAE)

What are these tools used for. Are they a meteric version of the Torques bits?
        thanks

          A:

Happy to answer that question for you Rustynail! Most car manufacturers use these types of screws on electronics such as pcms, and control modules as a form of security since these types of bits are not something that most people have in their tool drawer. These Torx bits are already metric and come in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm.
