Jack Stands that are very reliable

The Jack stands are very easy to use and are very sturdy for use under a car less than 1.5 tons. In addition, it is easy to adjust the height before use.

Narrow Footprint

By

from Mt Airy

Comments about AutoCraft 2-Ton Jack Stands:

I found the foot print to be a little narrow. As I lowered my vehicle onto the jack stands they started to shift. SO I had to be very careful of their location under the car to make sure nothing would be off-center as the car started to rest on the stands. The old ones I got rid of when I moved were MUCH better, larger etc...

I ended up buying ramps to feel safer. I only wanted to change the oil.

Great out of the box. Bought four to hold up the golf cart for some wiring installation. Steady as a rock.
Should work great for most jobs auto maintenance jobs around the house. Two ton rating should hold all but your heaviest loads.

These do not ratchet upwards. You need to jack your car up first and then place stand underneath car. In other words, these are not jack stands. They are stands.

These are a great pair of jacks that do what they are supposed to do. They are rate 400lbs each which will hold many vechicles for extended periods of time. Combined with an online coupon I could not beat the price. The trick with bargan shopping is to make sure you still give a quality product and with these jacks, it's a win win for anyone. I highly recommend that everyone who works on cars to do even minor jobs to have a pair.

I'd be happy to help you with that! The handle in the picture is how you lock the stand into place. It pivots to insert into the teeth on the shaft of the stand. You have to pull the handle to release the lock, but it auto locks into the teeth when extended. Here is a youtube link on how to operate jack stands. They are not the same ones you are looking at, but the concept is the same - www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BE0xJKczT0
