Good jack if you need something cheap for a small job. It will lift your car, but I would not trust it while you are under the car, use jack stands. It will also tip over easily unless you line it up to move as the car gets lifted. The wheel base is very narrow.

Could not jack up the front of my car, needed at least 18 inches to do that, this only goes to 14. Returned. It can lift the sides if you all you did to do is change a tire.

Comments about Autocraft 2-Ton Hydraulic Trolley Jack:

It makes lifting up your car easier but won't get your car high enough if you're lifting it from the front and rear center jack point. It's fine when you're using it to change your tire (one at a time) but it's useless if you're trying to put your car on jacks. I ended up using my scissor jack on a cinder block to get the job done.

good basic home garage use on flat ground, my jack showed up with next to no hydraulic oil in it. Once filled, does not leak and works good. The angled jack arm good for leverage, but not great for low clearence vehicles.

The product is great - it has one thing i would like improved. Each pump only raises the jack a short distance so it takes a while to jack up the car. Other than that (and I can live with that) it works perfect. A very good price performer

Comments about Autocraft 2-Ton Hydraulic Trolley Jack:

Although this jack has some weight and heft to it, it is not very powerful (strong). The jack is rated at 2 tons, but it has a safety limit to prevent using beyond 2000 lbs. Someone needs to inform the manufacturer that 2 tons and 2000 lbs. are not equal weights! It did lift the rear end of a 2000 GMC Jimmy, but I could feel the jack struggling. I didn't expect much for the price and indeed, I got it. The handle is not attached to the jack. It must be removed to turn the release screw to lower the jack, just like a bottle jack. It is considerably better than the scissors jack that came with the vehicle. I needed a jack in a hurry and this jack did help me out. I'll do more research and purchase a better, stronger floor jack in the future.

                    A:

Hi Lynn, happy to help! General instructions to operate the hdraulic floor jack follow: Park the car on an even surface. A paved driveway or garage floor is best. A trolley jack will not work well when used on uneven ground, or on a grassy or gravel surface. Set the parking brake. Place wooden blocks behind the wheels that remain on the ground. Slide the trolley jack under the car at a location where it is safe to lift the vehicle (usually on the frame rails, the differential or rear end housing). Turn the handle and begin to pump. Raise the car to the desired height. Place jack stands under the front or real axle (depending on what end of the car you are jacking up). Lower the car by slowly turning the handle again to release pressure. Bring the car down slowly on the jack stands. Make sure the jack stands are set in the correct position. Remove the trolley jack. Repeat for each side if lifting one side at a time. Lean your body weight on the raised part of the car once

This item is probably too short for a full size truck. Look for a suv/truck jack that will have a 2-3 inch lift for the pressure plate.
