I have had this battery in my '05 Road King less than a year and it isn't holding a charge. I kept the bike on a smart trickle charger over the winter and it struggles to start the bike. It left me stranded today, when I went out for lunch. Luckily, a couple of guys gave me a push start. I will look go back to an oem even if it cost extra. I have always gotten at least 5 years on the Harley batteries.

Complete trash. This didn't even last a year and I find out I spent the extra money (more than double) on a junk battery with a 90 day warranty? If the manufacturer will only warranty it for 90 days, they know it's junk too.

        3 month warranty

Comments about AutoCraft 12-Volt Sealed AGM Premium Powersport Battery, 385 CCA:

400 cca . Battery did not last a year. Figured it was just a bad battery because it would not hold a charge. Went to Advance to make an exchange and found out the warranty was for only 3 months. It is not a good motorcycle battery and Advance must know it because they only warrant it for 3 months. Do not waste your time or money on this battery.

I bought the same part number three years ago and it served me well. I killed it leaving my lights on for about 12 hours. I was happy so I ordered another one. The new one is nothing like the old one. It is not packaged when you pick it up. Different brand name. The terminal are flimsy, hollow ones that will break before the battery ever goes bad. I will go look at the next one before I buy it.

2005 EG Classic. Bought 3/9/14 didn't make it 5 mos. Only a 90 day warranty. There's a reason the Harley battery is $20 more, it lasts 5-7 years and not 5 months.

Wouldn't hold a charge after about 4 1/2 months even with a tender, but could at least be jumped off. Then too dead to jump.

Just bought one for 1999 Road King Classic. That measurement for 7-3/4 height is with a 3/4 adapter they give you for under battery , when you unsnap the plastic adapter , the battery is 7 inches high like the HD battery I'm taking out. Bad info on specs for battery by Advance, should have specs with & without spacer.

You would have to match one by size and specification to what is on the vehicle that can be fabricated into its place. This is supplied with 20 mm spacer to increase height. It is always advised that for ATVs, motorcycles, personal watercraft and snowmobiles that are not used on a regular basis.

What is the life expectancy of this battery? Mine is two years old and doesn't hold charge. For the cost of the battery it should last longer and have a better warranty. Automotive batteries are significantly cheaper, last longer, and have a better warranty.

Hi Scbaseball07, glad to serve you! There is no predetermined amount of battery life. So many variables come into play that it really depends on the situation at hand. When it comes to vehicle maintenance, "normal" is determined by a number of factors that exist in theory but rarely come to pass. For instance, a battery has an average normal lifespan of four years under normal conditions. "Normal" in this case means the battery goes through full charge cycles, isn't subjected to extreme temperatures, is attached to a reliable and consistent charging system and isn't providing power for a ton of accessories. See, normal just isn't normal. In the real world, temperature extremes, vibration, short trips down the street and an ever-increasing array of MP3 players, GPS receivers and other devices take a toll on the battery.
