I bought this for torquing down my head gasket, worked great(70 ftlbs), its also good for lug nuts. these clicker torque wrenches are designed to work best in the middle of its range and since this from 10-150 its best right around 80 ft pounds. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WRENCH TO USE AROUND 25FT LBS OR LESS YOU SHOULD GET A DIFFERENT SMALLER ONE, because you may not hear it click. also after tightening the knob on the wrench it can still move by a little like 5lbs or so so just dont twist the knob when toqueing. it doesnt feel the most sturdy so dont drop it or bang it.

Wrench worked as described, but when you are trying to torque bolts on a car with specific ratings, you need something accurate. My biggest problem with this wrench is that after setting the torque rating, it moves around while you are trying to tighten the bolt to that setting. Example: While trying to torque a bolt to 90, the handle wouldn't properly lock it place and the setting would slip to 80 or 85.

Comments about Autocraft 1/2" Drive Click Torque Wrench:

This is the best torque wrench I have bought yet. I've had it for a long time and have never had any problems. If you take good care of this wrench then it will last a very long time just like most other tools. I've thrown this wrench around so much I am surprised it still works. I even left it underneath my front tire and let my truck down off my jack on top of it and never even scratched it. I was skeptical at first about the wrench at first because of the price but even if it broke after a couple weeks I still would have thought I got my moneys worth out of it. So if you want a good torque wrench for your money I would get this one. I will buy this wrench over and over again.

Comments about Autocraft 1/2" Drive Click Torque Wrench:

Got the job done. Always wanted a Torque Wrench, but most are too expensive. I bought this as a part of a valve cover regasketing job. However, for the job I really needed one with Inch Lbs. (the 3/8" drive). Easily converted this one to Ft. Lbs. via the internet & made use. Dial setting is a little tricky to grasp at first, but once done it works. And the small tick & slip of the handle is a very subtle way to tell you when you've reached the torque set - so ratchet carefully!

Bought aftermarket wheels and bought this on the way home to ensure lugs are torqued to factory specs . After installing 22" rims and tires , this was this best accessory besides tire shine for aftermarket wheels. Set to 100 ft lbs of. Torque. Lock the nut on the bottom and start torquing away. Bought specifically for my wheels and keep in my car but have used it periodically at work( cnc machinist) works well for the price.
