The rear motor mount on my 98 Accord has a vacuum hose. Is this mount a comparable replacement? If yes, what is the impact of not utilizing the vacuum?

Hi CG, glad to assist you! This Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission (Part No. 8845) is an exact fit for your 1998 Honda Accord. The automatic transmission mounts are vacuum-actuate hydraulic mounts. The motor mounts are filled with a fluid. There is a valve that controls this fluid actuated by engine vacuum. It opens and closes to adjust the stiffness of the mount when idling for a smoother idle.
