Not much to say here. The part was a good value versus dealer. Installation was easy only requiring simple hand tools. The old mount was defective so this replacement did have a significant improvement to the function of the car. Basically the engine no longers jumps up and forward when you put the car in reverse! Install took about 20 minutes total to complete. The part appears exactly the same as the one it replaced and functions the same. I will also be replacing the lower mount as it is defective too.

    Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

This engine strut mount was very easy to install and fit perfectly. Use a floor jack on the transaxle to support the driveline. Loosen the lower engine strut mount and then slightly raise or lower the jack to set the engine mounts to their proper setting of 119 mm. I suggest that you replace both engine strut mounts on a PT Cruiser.

      Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

The part corrected the issue with the vibration noise coming from the engine. Installation was slightly difficult due to one of the bolts being positioned in a tight spot, but is not the result of the part itself. I was happy that the store had this part in stock and it was easy to order online and pick it up. As for durability it will have to stand the test of time to see if after about six months the part holds up and the hardened rubber inside doesn't suffer the same fate (the old part had separation on one side of the rubber), so I decided to rate it 4 stars for the time being.

It was a direct replacement for my 2003 Dodge Neon (2.0L, manual trans.) and there were no installation issues, what else can I say?

            • Q:

A mechanic told me I should replace all of motor mounts, which there are supposed to be 3 (passenger-side top and bottom & on on the drivers side). Also he said it may be a good idea to replace the transmission mount since it will be taken off to get to the motor mounts. Is this a good idea? Is this part for the motor or the transmission?
