Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

When the left Anchor motor mount did not line up I nearly abandoned the job on my 2003 Dodge Neon (2.0L, manual trans.) but fortunately I did not! The right mount was spot-on, no fit-up issues. I wish I could say the same about the corroded motor mount fasteners...

Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

I got this after replacing the the upper and lower mounts and the car started to shake bad when stopped. i was able to easily replace the upper and lower this one is a different story on an 05 Dodge neon sxt. you have to be able to jack the engine up or lower it enough to replace this mount, i ended up breaking a transmission hose. I ended up taking the car to my mechanic and he was able to replace it no problem. Now the car doesn't shake when stopping, it even feels like it drives better. The part seems to be a great replacement for the original.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

The location listing for this part is incorrect. This mount is located at the front of the engine near the center. It is mounted to the right frame rail and has a single bolt through it into the engine bracket.

Our website states that this mount is located at the rear of the engine.

this mount is located on passenger side connected with 4 bolts and the supporting torx pin that runs through the frame (wheel well) into the transmission ,you should raise the engine and support it , relieving any weight to the mount before removing the pin.

I just did the timing belt replacement on my 05 Dodge Neon SXT (2.0L) and I can say this is a pain in the butt to get to in a home garage. I used the old block of wood on a floor jack method and dropped the engine for the lower timing case and then jacked it up a little for the upper bolts on it. You have to remove the timing case to get to it which means you have to take out everything on that side even the power steering. Then remove the cover on the passenger side wheel well and take the nut off and it's tricky to pull the actual mount out working around the engine, but after a few minutes of trying this and that, I got it. I definately recommend getting the Chilton's guide or whatever book you prefer. I had to take the crankshaft pulley off for the timing cover too, and the easiest way to do this is to check out the special tool (looks like a harmonic balancer, but ask em @Advance) so you don't wind up stripping it. You'll need the book for details to get it back on too.G'luck!
