      Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

This is the 4th motor mount I've replaced on the LEFT in my 2002 quadcab S-10 in the last 5 years, all of them from A.A. The 3 previous mounts had a SLOT in the bottom for the bolt. The new one this time had a hole. So out came the dremel.

The S-10 is not designed for motor mount replacement easily, unless you lift the motor OUT of the vehicle. The bottom hole is almost impossible to access, and the excess rubber flashing on the new mount makes it an exercise in futility unless you trim back the flashing. This means that you the customer have to spend time removing stuff that should not have passed QC checks, and cutting the hole into a slot. I don't expect the mounts to last more than a year, based on prior experience. Vehicle is driven less than 5000 miles a year, and by my wife. I expect a motor mount to last at least 50-10 years, and to be correct for the application. The engineering on this mount is poor to say the least and does not make me want to get motor mounts from AA. I'll get them from the dealer the next time.

        Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

I've replaced engine mounts in my cars going on 40 years now. Up until my 2002 S-10 have I EVER had to replace the new one. I'm about to replace the left mount AGAIN for the 3rd year straight. Wife drives this vehicle, and she's extremely conservative. There is no reason for this mount to separate other than it uses substandard materials and workmanship. Advance Auto should be ashamed for selling such OUTRIGHT JUNK!!!!!! I'm going to the dealer and pay 4X as much for the parts, much as I hate dealerships.

          Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

This product only lasted 2 years in my truck. When you spend a lot of money and time (8hrs) on labor you want the parts to last just as long as the dealer parts. But you get what you pay for. I recommend buying this part from the dealer and save you some time in the future.

Just want to double check but I would order two of these correct? Looks like it can be mounted to either side. I need to replace both. Cars I have owned in the past asked for different part numbers for each side.

              A:

Mount type depends of the make of the vehicle. Chevrolet Blazer, S10 and GMC Jimmy uses it as Engine mount - Front Right while GMC Sonoma and Oldsmobile Bravada uses it as Engine mount - Front Left. For further assistance, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle in question.
