I bought one for each side hoping to get a matching set. just to get them to bolt to my block I had to manipulate them. After they were on and put motor in car I had to pull motor again and shim the passenger side just to keep the header off the frame rail, and to level the motor.

I see that the mount says convertible only. How would that make a difference to the mount and can i still use it if my car is not convertible?

Convertable vehicles are actually designed differently than their non-convertable counter parts. For further assistance, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle in question for further assistance on whether or not you can use this mount with your non-convertable car.

Engine will sit lower i hear alot of people use them in coupes but may have clearance issues with some headers, if your running stock headers you will be fine.
I did both sides on my 88 5.0 easy install took about two hours with a single bottle jack my opinion is the starter is more of a pain to change the the motor mounts.

these are 5 liter convertible mounts. the convert obusely desent have a strong roof so ford made other parts on the convertible stronger ike the motor mounts and if you look under a convertible you will see reforcement bars under it that the coupes and the hatchbacks did not have because they had a stronger roof than a convertible did. the mounts work on either hardtop or convertible. they are better than the hardtop mounts. actually it would be an upgrade over the hard top mounts. aperently anchor the mount company sees it and doesnt see the sence to make the hard top mounts because the convertible mounts are better. they will sure last alot longer. i have a set on my mustang gt hatchback they went on fine no problem and line up right and they are stronger than the factory hard top mounts. and as for everyone else saying they dont fit right or they are off center they need to make sure they got em on right because they do line up right.
