Comments about Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission:

This thing fit like a glove but don't expect it to be easy to install! There are two ways of doing it as one is to remove the bottom bolts and jack the engine up until it will clear the frame to pull it out or the other is to drop the sub frame. The tranny went out in our car so we had to drop the sub frame to do that job which made putting the motor mount on a breeze.

The old mount was completely worn out and the new one made a world of difference. The motor used to rock and move a lot under acceleration or would make noises when changing gears or taking off some time but this fixed our issues. The motor is held in like it is supposed to.

While your at it though, make sure to check your transmission mount because it's about the same method to replace it as the motor mount!

Hi Snookums, glad to assist you! On your Oldsmobile Intrigue, two mounts will be located on the transmission to the frame and the other will be on the front of the car under the water pump and one should be on the top.

      A:

With reference to your inquiry on the Anchor Mount Engine-Transmission - part# 2712, there are 3 mounts on your Chevy Impala. One on the passenger side of car behind the oil filter, the transmission mount (right above the axle on the driver side), and you also have a torque strut mount that is on top of the engine, as soon as you open the hood of the car. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

To get you the best possible answer, can you please provide the engine size that you have in your vehicle because Grand Prix came with two different engine sizes.

    • A:

No it isn't. These are the lower engine mount. You can find it by removing the passanger wheel, and then removing the plastic shield in the wheel well and it is right behind it between the engine and the frame
