Had to replace this pump with another of the same brand because the last one lasted exactly 2 years but only had a one year warranty.Counter guy at advance said they now have a limited life time warranty and he would give me a new one with that warranty and pay the $260 or i could get a new one and not pay anything but only get a 90 day warranty.I took the 90 day deal since i will be getting a new truck in spring anyway,Hope it lasts til then.

Comments about Airtex Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

Easy install although I had to reuse my old seal. The new seal was thicker and prevented me from locking the pump in place. Other than that everything else went smoothly and my truck runs great. Since I had a bedliner and for fear something may go wrong, I decided to cut a trap door in the bed to access the pump. Took about 10 minutes of careful cutting. Spot cut the back side and bent the plate back. From removing the bedliner to testing the new pump took less than 2 hrs.

Comments about Airtex Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

Removal of the truck bed made installation a snap vs. dropping the gas tank so if you elect this method be sure to have extra people and a means to block up the bed. We used milk crates and 3 people and blocked up off the frame and slid back approx 2 feet. There is a new wire harness and we elected to solder/heat shrink tube vs. using the supplied butt connectors. The fuel level sending unit is not as robust compared to a Delco though appears sufficient and $80 less in cost. Be certain to identify if you need a "TCF" or "TCU" sending module.

Comments about Airtex Fuel Pump Module Assembly:

Looks like it will hold up, includes filter strainer "sock", so one less piece to buy. Also includes plug to replace failure prone connector and wires. They even include heat shrink crimp connectors. Price was a little high, but use an online coupon code to combat that. Overall a quality product that I would recommend. Be careful placing pump in tank so that you don't damage float and level sender unit since its a tight fit.

I see where it is possible to just raise the bed of the truck instead of fighting the gas tank straps and siphoning the fuel. Would you recommend this proceedure it worked for me?
