Have used this antifreeze for years.
Never any problems. Have used it and mixed
it with other Green colored antifreezes.
Don't know if you can mix it with Dexcool so beware.

This works even better then most regular name brands at a fraction of the cost. It's a no-brainer to buy this and save your money for other things like repairs or upgrades. I have tried other brands like Prestone, peak, chevron, Havoline, and even Walmart. This one seems to work best and treats my cooling system the way it should be. The pre-diluted is also good if you want 50/50. This is even cheaper then almost all of the ones I mentioned, which makes it the most economical choice too.

Asked: Is this product nitrite- and amino-FREE, or NOT.

Got from John the Car-Doc: This coolant is OAT based and not nitrite. My recommendation was that this coolant is as good as a nitrite based one.

Still need to know... Is it 'amino-FREE, or NOT.'

                                    TIA,

"Have read through most Q&A and the MSDS but have not found any reference to my Q...

Some manufacturers, in particular some European ones recommend that the corrosion inhibitors be nitrite- and amino-FREE. Be sure to ref nitrite, not nitrate.

Could you please check on that?

"Hi db! I'am happy to help! Yes, some manufacturers recommend sodium nitrite based corrosion inhibitors, however silicate and phosphate based coolants are equally useful as well. This Advance Auto parts coolant contains 2-Ethyl Hexanoic Acid and Neodecanoic Acid which are OAT (Organic Acid Technology) based and are commonly used in the extended life or Dex-cool formula. So this coolant is equally good as a nitrite based one."

Too much explanation here, is this product nitrite- and amino-FREE, or NOT.
