Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

I saw a couple people gave this a bad review. I just installed this and it looks exactly like the one that I replaced. The actual teeth on the gear that connects to the regulator are metal, not plastic. However, there is a plastic back to the motor. Not sure what's behind it (could be plastic gears or metal). The motor works good, just a hassle to get the regulator out. *** remember to take the spring off first before removing the motor from the regulator***

This item was bought to replace one that was installed two years previous. I don't not if the first had a flaw, but time will tell with this one. Very easy to install. Better if you have small hands.

First motor failed in three months second motor failed in three days what do you think. Advance should be made to pay labor on their failed parts watch how fast they stop selling junk.

Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

I bought this unit as a replacement in a 2004 Mustang. The motor in that car would not raise the window, I could hear the gears slipping so I knew the unit needed to be replaced. Advance had 2 choices and I opted for the less expensive motor. Let me just say that it does not instill confidence in me that when I get the failing unit removed, I see that it is made by the same company that made the unit I just purchased and had a manufacture date of June 2010!! LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD and it FAILED!!!!! After taking the defective unit apart I could see that the teeth of the large plastic gear that runs off the motor shaft had worn down and were now rounded which explained the failure. When, not if, this motor fails I will spend a few extra bucks and get the OEM motor. On the plus side, it is an exact fit.

Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

The unit was 100% compatible and a perfect install match. However, the gear is plastic (white color - obvious) and that did catch my attention at install time. These days, however, there are some amazing plastics so I did not worry. Unfortunately the unit failed after ~3 months of use. Heavy use. The windows do go up and down at least once a day on average. However, considering that the original metal gear had lasted for almost 8 years of our punishing use, the mere 3 months the plastic gear lasted puts this one on a 1-star rating. Don't waste your time. Get the original Motocraft part for about $40 more.
