These are the stock plugs in my '04 Grand Prix. They claim to last 100,000 miles, and they deliver on that promise. After 111,000 miles I decided I should place these before they caused problems. As I pulled out the old plugs I checked each and every one of them. The gap was still perfect, and they hardly looked used at all. I almost put the old plugs back in thinking I could return these, but I realized that this is probably the last time I'll change plugs on this car. Based on the condition of the old plugs, I would give these the highest recommendation. The 3800 motor is known for destroying lessor plugs, but these babies looked like they barely had a few thousand miles on them.

the original iridium ac plugs lasted 100,000 miles like they should I replaced with advanced ac iridium replacements and had 2 foul out of course it took me months and lots of parts to figure it was the new plugs causing a high end mis-fire, replaced 2 that were bad and now another cylinder mis-firing a plug gone bad I'm sure, why aftermarket original parts don't last?

Comments about ACDelco Professional Iridium Spark Plug:

Directly replacement for OEM. Removed the OEM ones due to the car starting to develop a misfire. After 159,000 miles it was time to replace them. I hope to get another 159,000 miles out of these. I even checked the gap on the old ones and it appears to not have changed. Gap should be .060 Smallest gap was .058 on one and the largest was .062

Look. If you own a GM car put GM parts back in it. These are the OEM plugs for the Pontiac Grand Prix. A friend of mine put plugs in this car two weeks ago from another manfacturer. Rhymes with mosh. Car started throwing random misfire codes and eventually a P0301. I replaced the plugs with OEM an car runs great. No Misfires. This happens quite often.
      These plugs are great.

Own 2005 Chevy Equinox. The Equinox runs better with high quality plugs and wires. I know because there are known problems with OEM plug wires which will electricly breakdown, with as little as 50k miles. This will fool the engine's on-board ECM. Performance will drop, the engine/trans will seem to bog down and/or buck. It seemed like a new engine and trans with new quality wires & plugs. There was a totaly noticable difference of improvement. Stick with the high quality stuff on this Nox!

                      A:

A spark plug part number might fit hundreds of different engines from many different manufacturers. Although the spark plug from the factory will come with a gap to a pre-selected setting, this may not be the right gap for your particular engine. The incorrect plug gap for your engine can contribute to a high rate of misfires, loss of power, plug fouling, poor fuel economy, and accelerated plug wear. It is always best to check the gap against the manufacturer's specifications. If adjusting the gap on fine wire or precious metal plugs such as platinum or iridium be very careful not to apply any pressure or prying force to the fine wire center electrode or insulator as they can be damaged. The gap should be adjusted by only moving the ground electrode.
For compatibility of this part with your vehicle, please provide your vehicle make, model and engine specification.
