Work Great!

Comments about ACDelco Professional Double Platinum Spark Plug:

Excellent replacement plug. ! have a 2007 Silverado with $184,000 miles. Original plugs were in for about 105,000, second set for about 80,000. I had a garage install them. I have done it before but after that many miles I was concerned about breaking one during removal. Truck runs well all in all I'm very pleased.

Comments about ACDelco Professional Double Platinum Spark Plug:

Here and other parts stores have this plug as a fit for 5.3l tahoes. Yes they do fit and the counter service was great also. I asked for these plugs. The bad was the performance. Shaking, random misfires, lousy mileage. code of p0300 constant. Took them out and replaced with denso ZT16R10 iridiums. Problems ceased and truck purr's like a kitten and bites like a pit pull when you push on the foot feed. Sure everyone says use oem ac delco iridiums. From where?. bottom line stick with iridium's as above from AAP and life will be easier. On line ordering was fast and easy. Ready and waiting at store when I got there. Great service.

Comments about ACDelco Professional Double Platinum Spark Plug:

The gap on the plugs were suppose to be pre set at 0.60 but they were set at 0.40 I set the proper gap installed plugs, truck runs better than it has in years. I have 2004 Silverado 5.3 engine, 122,000 miles. The valves even quit taping. Have been using a differant brand. Just hope these hold up better to water than the brand I was using, because water killed them.

Comments about ACDelco Professional Double Platinum Spark Plug:

Product was not faulty, plugs were new. Online part matching was incorrect! DON'T TRUST EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET! I went to the store after installation (plugs were in for 30 minutes throwing multiple cylinder misfire codes) and an employee was able to tell me double platinum is not recommended (despite the recommendation from the website) for my 05 2500HD. I needed Iridium. After a quick swap in store and re-install I was on my way with no issues. I would recommend calling into a store prior to purchasing to ensure you have the right plug. I have been doing tune ups for some time now (decades) and this is the first time I have experienced this. I would recommend ACDELCO to a friend as long as they are the right plug.

Good question, Bob! This ACDelco Professional Double Platinum Spark Plug (Part No. 41-962) is pre-gapped at 0.04 inch from factory. However, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings. When it comes to repairs and maintenance it is always recommended to refer the vehicle owner's manual for the exact specifications.
