    Comments about ACDelco Fuel Filter:

I am not a mechanic, just so you know. luckily a friend of mine is he had the right tool to get the job done. which is a 5/8 and a 20 plus plumbers tape. we had to hold the two tools perpendicular to one another in order to get the old fuel filter out once we did the other one went in fine. it leaked and that's when the plumbers tape came in handy so no more leak. oh you should have seen the nasty dirt that came out of the old one nastyyy. well I gained a little more power i can feel it start smoother. Also, remember do not forget the plumbers tape also youuuuu wiiiiillllll neeeeed a size 20 wrench I was so lucky my buddie drove by cause what took a half hour would have been two days LoL.You guys have a good one and remember You need to pull the fuel pump relay in the fuse box. Comments about ACDelco Fuel Filter:

I can only comment on the fuel filter that I removed from the vehicle (which was also an AC Delco filter, same part number).

The filter that I removed (being of same design) was full of gunk, debris, etc. I will note that this is a positive! If the filter hadn't caught this extra material, it would have likely ended up in my injectors. If that had happened, I might have also been reviewing some injector cleaner!

For the most part, this filter was simple to change, but that is not a pro, or a con of the filter, but is a attribute of the particular vehicle that it is being installed on.

                Worth The Extra Cost

                By Douglas

                from New Jersey

                Comments about ACDelco Fuel Filter:

As other reviewers have noted the Delco fuel filter is more expensive but in this instance you get what you pay for. Not an item I would care to cheap out on.

Build and quality is identical to factory original, case is an electro-welded seam, not crimped like lesser brands. Resists corrosion well, lasts a long time too, went 60,000 miles on the last one, replaced it as preventive maintenance.
