    Delco makes a good product. this one fits/operates just as is should.will need to keep o.e. rubber mount as it does not come with a new one

            On the 2001 Z-71, the Evaporation Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve is located in the intake manifold. Remove the Vortec engine cover and the solenoid will be on the passenger side near the top front of the manifold next to the throttle body.

            On the 2000 Silervado 5.3L the solenoid is located in the intake manifold. Remove the Vortex engine cover and the solenoid will be on the passenger side near the top front of the manifold next to the throttle body.
