            • Q:

How can this be an exact fit for my 2001 Buick Century when you say one with 4 terminals is an exact fit, and you also say one with 6 terminals is an exact fit, and you also say one with 7 terminals is an exact fit? I am finding more and more incorrect "Exact Fits" for all of my vehicles. Eventually, I will have to stop trusting you altogether and buy from someone else.

                A:

Hi M! I understand your concern with the description provided to you online. There are two blower motor resistors for the 2001 Buick Century. A 4 pin is for auto temperature control and a 7 pin is for manual temperature control. The 6 pin is for an A/C switch and not for a blower motor resistor. The 8 pin is a universal/custom pigtail harness used to repair larger pin harnesses and is not specifically for a blower motor resistor. Meanwhile, if you search for a particular harness all harnesses for the vehicle will be pulled up on our website for better reference.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

If the compressor is not turning, jump the switch on the receiver dryer and see if the clutch engages. if it does and goes off as soon as you undo the jump, then you are low on refergirent also if you jump the harness that goes to the low pressure switch and its starting to blow cold, it means that the low pressure switch is bad. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified A/C mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

you want to go from 85 to 86 positive and negative and also 30 to 87a and 30 to 87 you will hear it click when the switch opens if you dont hear it then you know its bad, and if 85 to 86 doesnt click then you know its bad because thats powering the relay. I would try 85 to 86 first.
