You must know that you need this part number for the Ford AOD. Put it on my stock 86GT 5.0 and it was fantastic. For the first 25 miles then when it got hot started bucking and stalling limped home and put the Hong Kong one back on.
Ordered another one via local store. Came the next day but had been opened. Tried it anyhow and it was worse than the first one and wouldn't even hold an idle. Took it back. Not happy with Accel now. Advance Auto was really good tho'.

Check out part number 35369 if you have a 5 speed car. Most catalogs at part stores list the incorrect module for the application.

A:
The ignition control module and or even the throttle position sensor may be the possible cause of the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.Answered on 8/5/2012 by Vincent from AAP
