Comments about 3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive:

I bought new wheel centers and center cap emblems from [@] I used the glue to bond their centers. I let them dry for about two hours and came back and the centers were melted and ruined.I will never use 3M again they cost me over 160 dollars in ruined 78 Trans Am center caps.

    • Q:

I an trying to attach a chrome emblem under my hood on my 2011 camaro. It attaches to a fabric type under hood cover. I had tried 3m double sided tape and it did not work. I want to be sure that what I use will work as this is directly over the belts and pullies and would cause serious damge if it falls off. What would you reccomend ?
      Thanks

Hi Jack, I'm happy to help! No, this plastic emblem and trim adhesive from 3M is not compatible with fabric surface. There is one 3M Headliner and Fabric adhesive - 38808 which is compatible for fabric surface. We do not have this part available with us. You may google for other resources.

I added stainless steel aftermarket trim to my car years ago and now one end of the trim on the rocker panel is separating. Is this product, or another product, the best choice to adhere the metal trim to the painted metal body of the car?
