how to install the starter solenoid?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The solenoid is part of the starting mechanism in an engine. When the ignition is turned, the solenoid will receive electrical impulses from the battery. This energizes the coils inside the solenoid to produce a magnetic field, which will pull on a plunger. The mechanism is designed so that the plunger is connected to a shift lever, which operates the drive pinion and clutch. These parts can wear out. When your solenoid malfunctions, you will have to remove it and install a new one.
