                  A:

It might be the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

The MAP sensor is located on the side of the intake manifold (plenum) at the end closest to the throttle body.

                  A:

When testing the MAP sensor, be sure that the harness wires are not damaged by the test meter probes. Test the MAP sensor output voltage at the MAP sensor connector terminal B. With the ignition switch ON, and the engine OFF. Output voltage should be 4 to 5 volts. Test the MAP sensor output voltage at the MAP sensor connector terminal B at a hot, neutral idle speed condition. The voltage should drop to 1.5 to 2.1 volts. Test MAP sensor supply voltage at sensor connector terminal C with the ignition ON. The voltage should be approximately 5 volts.

                  A:

The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit (ECU). The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel metering for optimum combustion. Symptoms of a bad MAP sensor include:
Engine Surging, Rich Air/Fuel condition which could cause spark plug fouling, Detonation from too much advanced timing or lean air/fuel condition, Loss of power and gas mileage.
