Q:About how long does this take to change out
A:Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific part.
Q:what size o-rings go in the valve....
A:The Inlet Diameter and Outlet Diameter are 0.25 inches and the length is 4 inches. It includes the Valve, Four screws, Two O-Rings and Handle. These Dorman water separator valves are designed to drain water from the fuel filter. They include new mounting hardware and install in the stock location with no modifications. The valves are built from quality materials to factory specifications to ensure a direct fit.
Q:Hello. I had earlier asked a question if o rings came with the seperator valve. You stated no, Now , I just received the new part and what I am asking is do I have to remove the check valve ball and purchase o rings and install on check valve ball or is this part ready to install??
A:Ready to install.
Q:Does this come with o rings included
A:No, it does not include the o-rings with the Fuel Water Separator Valve.
Q:I have some fuel leaking out the drain line .Would the fuel water seperator be the problem or is there something else that could be leaking.
A:With out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer.
A:Assuming its on a Powerstroke, Yes the fuel water seperator failing will cause it to leak out the drain line. If its not leaking on top of your engine make sure that the seperator valve is closed. The position is with the yellow handle turned towards the passenger side, open its pushed stright back.
