Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. The Inlet Diameter and Outlet Diameter are 0.25 inches and the length is 4 inches. It includes the Valve, Four screws, Two O-Rings and Handle. These Dorman water separator valves are designed to drain water from the fuel filter. They include new mounting hardware and install in the stock location with no modifications. Assuming its on a Powerstroke, Yes the fuel water seperator failing will cause it to leak out the drain line. If its not leaking on top of your engine make sure that the seperator valve is closed. The position is with the yellow handle turned towards the passenger side, open its pushed stright back.Answered on 2/22/2011 by DieselDude from KS
