Comments about NGK Iridium Ix Spark Plug (LFR5AIX-11):

The previous plugs had been in the engine for possibly as much as 100,000 miles.

I changed them because I was having a misfire problem. Changing them did not seem to help the misfire or to make any difference in performance, but given the length of service on the previous set, I'm glad I changed them.

I drive between 25-30k miles a year and putting these in were regular maintenance. My gas mileage increased and seems the power has as well. Definitely worth getting.

Any new plug would have been better than the worn ones I replaced. That said, engine definitely smoothed out from what it had been over the last 10K miles.

Comments about NGK Iridium Ix Spark Plug (LFR5AIX-11):

Used these plugs in my 04 Nissan Armada. The difficulty to install has nothing to do with the plugs, just the fact Nissan thinks everything should be bolted in,ie spark plug wires. Simply put, I was barely getting 300 miles to a tank before the installation of the Iridium Ix Spark Plug by NGK. Afterwards...getting around 330 miles to tank (city). Thats with gas from same gas station and no other change, so I would say it was a good choice and worth the money.

                    • Q:

Does this plug work for a 2008 Altima 2.5 S ? Just went to get a tune-up and the mechanic ordered plugs for my car but said they were the wrong size and now they say noone in the area has them. I looked under the make/model etc. and it shows these are in stock but if the thread area is too large like the ones they ordered it's a bit crazy that they aren't right.
