Replaced the wife's stock plugs a little past the recommended 100K, but on a 2005 Honda Civic LX, this was an easy install. I would say there is a noticeable increase in power and acceleration, but I can't comment on any gas mileage difference yet- the car already gets 35+ mpg so we haven't filled up yet to see the change in fuel consumption.

My old car started to misfire a while ago. Then it could not start in cold weather. I changed to the E3 plugs but they didn't help. I just changed to these and they helped. My car can start in cold weather now and there's no more misfire.

I have only had them installed for about a week and have not noticed really any power increase in my car, but seems to be running great since I replaced the plugs. Will know better down the road the durability and gas mileage increase once I have driven more miles on them.

After an engine rebuild I had an intermittent misfire in my car. I had installed Platinums from another brand and, based on experience and a process of elimination since it wouldn't show up on the scanner, I installed the NGK Iridiums and, woila!, HUGE and I mean HUGE difference. Engine runs way smoother, revs up faster.
I definitely recommend them.

A common misconception is that changing spark plugs will result in a large power increase. In most cases, removing even seriously worn out spark plugs will only result in very modest power gains, typically about 1-2% of total engine output. This could be even less for computer-controlled vehicles, primarily because most newer vehicles have more powerful ignition systems and the vehicle's computer can make adjustments so that vehicle operation seems smoother and more seamless.
Many people think that simply supplying more spark to the firing tip can and will combust more fuel. But most newer cars' engines are efficient enough that they are already burning all of the available fuel. Simply adding more spark voltage can't burn more fuel because there is no more fuel to burn.
When a stock or near-stock engine is given a fresh set of spark plugs, peak efficiency is restored. The power gains that come from this restored state of tune are usually minimal.Answered on 11/30/2011 by Aaron from AAP
