Just installed about a week ago to replace/ upgrade old battery. This is in my '86 300ZX. I have to admit it looks like it was made to go in there since my car is red. Have heard many good things about Optima so I feel it will be worth the money. Did get an excellent online deal that saved a good bit of money as well. The car starts immediately without any crank time at all. I have had all the big brands in there over the years and with few exceptions they lasted an average of 4 years. I guess I'll find out how well this one performs.

This is the best battery i have ever owned.I purchased the first one when they first came out with the gel spiral cell. Every one said cant belive you payed that much for a battery.This was a long time ago paid about 100.00 or so for it then. Had battery in at least five differant vehicles. Lasted ten years over all and definantly sold me on them it had tuff life but it proved tuffer.

Got the battery as a replacement for my 6 year old battery and was very happy with it. The additional plastic seating brackets that come with were very helpful when installing and have noticed with the new battery that there is no dimming of lights or other losses of power with heavy draws on the electrical system anymore.

The new red top replaced an old one that was six weeks short of being nine years old. My batteries don't usually last that long. This battery only had to be chargeed once that I can remember because somebody left something on that should have been off. The only drawback is that are getting pricey. My business partner asked why anyone would put a [$] battery in a $ 400 car. He is just plain funny!

I purchased one of these batteries in 2001 (red-top). I have since had it in three vehicles... 1987 Iroc-z, 2003 Chevy Blazer and 2006 Chevy HHR. Its still running strong in the HHR, and I'm actually purchasing another one for the Camaro because i dont want to take it out of the HHR.CUSTOMER CARE
