All of my vehicles and boats have Optima batteries in them I love this battery. Only had one battery from optima that went bad withing 5 months. Got a free replacement. Plenty of Cranking Amps and never fails on me. A little over prices I must say but they are worth it.

Sure ... the Optima RedTop cost a bit more than a conventional battery, but it's worth every penny. Winters in Wisconsin are really tough on batteries. As I see it, I didn't buy a battery. I bought some peace of mind.

This is my 3rd Red Top battery. I just replaced one in my jeep on 01-12-12 which lasted Ten years and this 3rd one in my wifes car, a 2003 Chrysler 300M, about two weeks ago. I was impressed though with the Mopar Original OEM maintainace free (GEL)battery which lasted me that long (bought car new). Hope this Red Top lasts that long too. I plan on getting a Red Top for my F-150 next, when the time comes.

After reading a number of reviews on these type of batteries I decided to take the plunge and go for it over the standard battery. They first appeared to be much more expensive HOWEVER I found a totally fantastic offer on Advanced Auto Parts which could not be passed up!
Ordered it online, along with an in cabin air filter, and regular engine air filter, and when I arrived at local AAP they had it loaded on the cart ready for me. A sincerely kind and knowledgable female employee (Georgia) took it all out to my car and installed battery for me.
This battery comes with a plastic platform / perch that raises the battery up high enough to reach the terminal leads. Using both risers made it too high so the smaller piece was removed and then it fit perfectly. Georgia sprayed contacts with sealant and took old battery away for me, also issuing me a $5.00 core removal advance to spend on other store items. Superb customer service and friendly environment will surely bring me back to this location again. As far as battery - its live and kicking just perfect!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very pleased and surprised to find that from the time I ordered online to driving away with it installed was less than an hour total. Showed up, and the AAP person did the install for me, even as it was starting to rain. Really great guy.
Item description for battery for my car (2005 Honda Accord) made it sound like it needed an adapter to fit in place. That didn't make sense until the tech took a piece off the top and placed it on the bottom.

Got a good price for the Optima battery when I searched on line for discounts. While AGM batteries are expensive I have found for vehicles with very infrequent use if you want to have the vehicle start up after long periods of no use without worrying with battery tenders or having to charge up the battery it is worth the extra money. I have infrequent opportunities to run my toys and I like to hop in or on, turn the key and go.
