Comments about Moog Control Arm with Ball Joint:
Great product, but I bought a Moog, and a TRW came in the box. Yes, TRW does make a great product, but I bought Moog for the grease fitting and castle nut as shown in the picture. Thats not what I received. TRW is a sealed unit with a nylon nut. I was very disapointed. Especially since TRW parts were less expencive before they got discontinued.
Comments about Moog Control Arm with Ball Joint:
Great fit! Bolted right on in place of the worn out originals. Made the ol Cougar drive like new again.
Comments about Moog Control Arm with Ball Joint:
This is not an easy part to replace as many parts need to removed to get it ou. However, the part is vey well made, has very good quality bushings and the ball joint has a much better grease cap than the cheaper ones. Spend the extra money and buy this part!

Q:
I am attempting to use the Moog unit to replace a TRW control arm. The strut support bushing is completely different from the unit I removed. On the TRW unit the strut support bushing has "flats" where it fits into the "U" at the bottom of the strut. The Moog unit has a metal tube which extends past either side of the cotrol arm. The metal tube has "teeth", as if it were to bite into something. Doesn't look right to me. The strut itself shows "wear marks" inside of the strut "U" fitting. Mine is the supercharged model, could it be that the TRW unit was not for a supercharged XR-7?1 answer

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
