Comments about NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug (ITR5F13):
The product was a replacement for the original plugs in the 2005 Mazda 6i. During the research for a replacement plug, these plugs were showed to be the OE plugs for my 2005 Mazda 6i 4 cylinder. Installation was very easy with no problems. Will purchase again.

Comments about NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug (ITR5F13):
Those are maybe the best spark plugs for an engine that is fitted with "waste spark" ignition system (one ignition coil for two cylinders).
The fine tip iridium provides a more intense electric field for the same voltage, ignition is complete and does stress less the coils than regular plugs. Iridium wears less, keeping the performance constant during lifetime.
The platinum disc welded on the groud electrode provides the enhanced durability for that electrode - needed because for each ignition coil, one of the sparks will have negative polarity and the other positive polarity. That errods more one of the plugs ground than other. To be safe I used platinum discs on all the plugs - maybe after 30-40k miles I will swap/rotate them from one polarity of the coil to the other.

Comments about NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug (ITR5F13):
Improved performance and a small increase in MPG. I drive the same roads daily and the mileage increased .5 - 1.75 Synthetic Oil and new Air Filter in combination. NEXT, --> Performance air and a larger exhaust system will likely add another 1.5 to 2 MPH. Mixed driving 23 - 26 MPG.

Q:
2004 F350 5.4 How many miles should I get out of this plug ?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
There is no specific mileage interval it needs to be replaced. As spark plugs grow older, they lose their sharp edges as material from the center and ground electrodes is slowly eroded away. As the gap between these two points grows, the voltage required to bridge the gap increases proportionately. Even the best ignition systems will be strained to supply enough voltage to completely burn the fuel. It is at this point, when fuel is being left unburned, that the time has come to change spark plugs. Replacing worn out spark plugs with new ones (with sharp new edges) effectively restores the ignition system's efficiency. Misfires are reduced, power is restored, economy of operation is enhanced and emissions are reduced. Every vehicle is different. When it comes to maintenance and repairs, always follow the vehicle's owner's manual.
