Replaced both rear window motors on 05 Chevy Cavalier. Parts was direct replacement. Hardware provided with part is useless, so plan to provide good hardware. Now I will wait to see how long part lasts

Comments about Cardone Select New Window Lift Motor:

This is the second new window motor I put in this car (but not the same door) hoping to perk up a slow window. Spent the extra $$ for the higher torque version and it does work better than the standard one I replaced a couple of years ago, even after rebuilding both regulator assemblies this time around as described below. Make sure your regulators and window tracks are well lubed! I disassembled and cleaned everything very well and then used Molykote 557 dry film lube on the window tracks and regulator tape/guides. Before applying the lube, the window glass would stay in place even without the regulator supporting it because of high friction in the track. After lubing, the window glass would easily move up and down in the track. That's 90% of the issue with power windows: the force to move the window is too high. So try a dry film lubricant on the guides and tracks first. If you have to remove the motor to access all the lube points, you might as well change the motor, too. It was reasonable cost, high quality, and easy to install once you get the old one out. Hope the lube layer holds up over time. It's been a month and so far so good. The window glides up and down smoothly and quickly.

Comments about Cardone Select New Window Lift Motor:

Best overall value for money spent... Fairly difficult to instal but even harder to motivate window when the motyor is out... my Stepson put it in for me while I stood by and cheered him on....Would have preferred a USA made unit instead of one made in China... If we have to replace it again... (Bummer)
