I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

    • Q:

Sence I have just replaced the Air / Fuel sensor Cuircut 1 Bank 1 and I continue to get the same codes: 1130, 1135, 1354 is it probable that the Transmission speed Sensor needs replacing?
The transmission tends to not shift into OverDrive and the engine feels weak.

        A:

Yes, the transmission speed sensor should be the possible cause of your problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

    • Q:

I have a 2005 scion TC and they said this part is bad, so will this specific part keep the car from starting??? And where can we find out exactly this part is located?
Asked on 10/23/2011 by Joni from Overland Park kansas

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

There are two types of speed sensors on the Scion TC. First, are the ABS sensor and these are located on the wheel hubs, behind the tires. Second, is the transmission output speed sensor and this is located on the transmission case.

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
