Comments about Imperial Econo-Kool® Transmission Oil Cooler:
I just like the additional cooling on all my vehicles for transmission to last longer. They aren't getting any cheaper to overhaul!

Comments about Imperial Econo-Kool® Transmission Oil Cooler:
Looks to be a good system, but haven't installed yet because the fins are all busted up. AA shipped it destroyed and I'm not too sure if its worth installing now.

Q:
Does the cooler come with directions? How much time should this take to install? Are there any special tools needed to do this?1 answer
A:
It will probably have a cheap install diagram, don't expect much more than that. They are easy enough to install: Buy about 4' of rubber fuel line in the same size as your exsisting steel lines& 6-8 clamps. disconnect one of the steel lines from your radiator and push the fitting back out of the way. find another steel line end same as the original. Run the original line plus hose to new cooler& hose from cooler back to new steel end at original radiator location. Buy the install kit from whoever; carefully push the plastic ties through your radiator & then through the new cooler.Placing the new cooler in front of radiator. You can do this right by sizing and buying all steel lines, bending & fitting them & making actual metal mounts for cooler, but most people just do the easy install & it works. If you are mechanical, depending on vehicle, install will take about 30 minutes. Don't forget to bring tranny fluid level back up to normal.
