The Monroe Sensa-Trac strut with PSD (position sensitive damping) and the Safe Tech system combines our exclusive precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube with application engineered valving and Fluon banded piston to improve the ride, handling, and safety characteristics of the vehicle. These features allow the Monroe Sensa-Trac strut to adjust more rapidly to changing road and weight conditions than any other available shock absorber.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Rod Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride comfort.
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Unique Groove Tube - PSD: Precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube perform like an additional stage of valving for optimum ride tuning.
  • Hardened and Chrome Plated Piston Rod: Long service life.
  • Unique Rod Guide and Single Lip Seal: Bronze reinforced rod guide bearing and special seal provides longer service life and consistent performance.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration.
  • Special Dust Boot/Jounce Bumper: Protective dust boot reduces dirt and any moisture build-up. Jounce bumper helps prevent severe suspension movement. Dust boot & jounce bumper sold separately.

      Comments about Monroe Sensa-Trac Strut:

Does the job...simple to replace using a spring compressor and an assistant to line up the shaft with the strut mount. Improved ride even with two cans of fixaflat in one of the tires. Can't even tell the tire is out of balance by about a pound.

      • Q:

My 2004 Dodge Neon makes a grinding, rubbing noise when accelerating. And front-end bottoms out. Does it sound like bad front Sensa-Trac Struts? I'm assuming their "Sensa Trac". I see a wire connected to stuts.

          A:

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
