I have used Purolator filters on both my cars for years, as a cheaper alternative to OEM filters. I have run Oil Analysis many times on both the OEM filters and the Purolators. I can see no discernable difference - the Purolators seem to be equally as good as OEM filters costing twice as much. That said, I am an easy, casual driver. For those of you more performance oriented, I'd probably step up from the Classic to the Pure One for a little additional protection. But for everyday drivers, the Classic is more than adequate.
