Rebuilt alts in the past have always not been a complete rebuild. This unit had no surprises. Correctly charges system, is quiet and was a good deal with the online coupon. (By replacing my alt it even removed a pesty noise the dealer could not find,)
This is the second altenator I have bought from here for two different vehicles, I would recommend to a friend and did!
I wish the store would give you a core receipt, only complaint I had plus apparently they cannot test your old Ford altenator that you bring in for exchange, which is weird!

Replaced the failed alternator on my 2004 F150. The original lasted for 195,000 miles. This alternator is a rebuilt but installed and performed flawlessly. Install was a breeze even for a novice.

This was an easy job. The Advance staff at my local store even tested the new alternator after I installed it to make sure it was working. I've got no complaints.

if I check the voltage output and it is below 12v, should I change the altenator or could the problem be something else?Asked on 12/25/2010 by joraanma from Coral Springs, FL2 answers
A:
With the engine off, check the battery voltage. Note this value.
Now start the engine and check the voltage across the battery if it is 13.8 or more then the alternator is good and the battery needs to to load tested. If the voltage is the same or lower then the alternator needs to be tested. Advance Auto can do these tests for you. Well it seems to me to be 5 amps.
The more amperage a alternator is rated for simply means it can handle a larger load. If you have a lot of accesories or haul a trailer then get the higher rated one.Answered on 12/2/2012 by Steve from Harrington, DECUSTOMER CARE
