With reference to inquiry on the Moog Pitman Arm - Part No. K6536, in your Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD place the pitman arm puller tool on the pitman arm so that the center bolt is on the middle of the gear and the hooks on the side of the tool slide behind the pitman arm. By tightening down the center bolt, it will pull off the pitman arm. You shuld be able to tell if your Silverado needs 3 or 4 groove pitman arm by crawling underneath and looking in it. The grooves in the splines will go all the way to the end just before the threads. At the very most you might have to take off the castle nut if there are no splines poking out. Generally, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks use 3 groove and 1/2 ton trucks use 4 groove.
