Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
OEM Replacement fuel filter for my '97 Ford F150 4.6 V8. To remove the old filter on the F150, a special tool is needed to release the fuel lines. Instead, I used a cap from a Sharpie marker! Here's how: First, remove the safety clips by hand from each side of the filter. Cut about 3/8" off the open end of a Sharpie cap. Take the cut piece and slice it open with scissors or a sharp razor. Next, slip it over one end of the old filter in front of the fuel line. With pliers over the cap, work it into (under) the fuel line while pushing the fuel line against it with your other hand. Keep working it until the fuel line is released. Repeat for the other side. Place the new filter in the holding bracket. Be careful not to bend/damage the new filter putting it in. Snap the fuel line on each end and re install the safety clips. Hope this helps!

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
This fuel filter is the factory part for ford trucks. it matches the requirments for my ford van. fairly easy to replace. Make sure to remove the fuse for the fuel pump system or you will spray fuel all over and have a potential hazard. you need the tool to remove the fuel lines from the old filter. you can remove the battery cables from the battery if you can't locate the fuse to disable the fuel system. you should consult the service manual for your specific vehicle before attempting to replace the fuel filter.

A high quality replacement filter for my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0. Fits just like it's suppose to. I always prefer OEM parts over aftermarket. They cost more but well worth it.
