Comments about Autolite Copper Core Resistor Spark Plug:
95,000 miles ago, I fell into the more is better, multiple ground electrode trap of a competitor. These plugs were a huge improvement. Good for daily driving, smoothness, and MPG, not so good for the rear tires.

Always use a small dab of "anti-sieze" on the threads so next change out goes smooth.

Comments about Autolite Copper Core Resistor Spark Plug:
I purchased a set of 8 autolite double platinum's to replace the original plugs in my 02' F-150 with the 5.4 in it and 67xxx miles. Although due to engine design, the installation was not as easy or fast as would be on other engines, I did notice a smoother running engine after installation. I keep up with gas mileage religously in a spreadsheet and I have not realized an increase in mileage. However, as mentioned, I did notice the engine was smoother running on the highway especially when accelerating or when the automatic transmission down shifts. I have used autolite's for years in everything from classic mustangs to custom v-twin engines and small engines with good results.

Q:
are these plugs better on gas mileage than the motorcraft plugs2 answers

A:
I doubt you will notice an increase in gas mileage over motorcrafts if you are comparing new motorcraft plugs to new autolites. I check my gas mileage every tank and when I replaced the original motorcrafts with a set of autolites, the mileage did not go up. The engine did run smoother though and I could tell a difference on the highway during acceleration.CUSTOMER CARE

Different spark plugs affect cars differently. I recommend visiting your local Advance Auto Parts and speaking with an employee there and seeing what they have to say on the matter.
