Installed this part on my '01 Jeep Cherokee Limited (XJ).
It was completely compatible with the old OEM part I removed, and I was very pleased at the way it made the steering feel after driving with the old one for so long. It completely eliminated the "bump steer" or "death wobble" you get after hitting a bump while turning.

A steering Stabilizer with NO Bolts ? !!
The Stabilizer feels good in my hands, but its kind of hard to install with no hardware included. Factory Drag link hardware is not re-useable,as it is not removeable from the factory stabilizer....Read complete review
The Stabilizer feels good in my hands, but its kind of hard to install with no hardware included. Factory Drag link hardware is not re-useable,as it is not removeable from the factory stabilizer. Advertisement page states Parts Pack is included, but it sure was not in the box. Its aggravating to take apart your truck to install a newly purchased Steering Stablizer, but the hardware( that is suppose to be included) to mount it has gone AWOL. AAP will be seeing my face again this morning, and it will not be a happy face.

Comments about Monroe Magnum Steering Damper:
Greatly improved steering tightness. Make sure to check that all of your other steering componets are good, such as ball joints, tie rods, steering box, etc. Getting the old tapered bolt out can be a chore if you do not have the proper tool. Other than that it is a very simple install, took 15 minutes for me.

This was a direct replacement steering stabilizer for a Jeep TJ Wrangler. It matches the OE item in both size and performance and comes with all the necessary installation components, and has the advantage of a much better price than at a Jeep dealership.

Comments about Monroe Magnum Steering Damper:
Installed on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Note: uses a 17mm wrench - when rest of the vehicle is US. Once I got the correct wrench on the mounting bolts the install went very smooth. This product came with everything needed to replace the old shock in less than 30 minutes.

Q:
When the shocks are replaced does this also need replacement?1 answer
A:
No. Unless this is leaking like the shocks were too, or if you're noticing more steering vibration than normal. Hope this helps!
